At CaliMaine, we breed and show these wonderful cats to help promote the popularity of the Maine Coon breed, ensure that the heritage of this wonderful breed of cat is not lost, and bring joy to the many families who choose to have Maine Coons as members of their families.

So that each of our cats gets love and attention, we generally have only three litters a year. As a result, each kitten is special to us. Our cats become members of our family, and we are very concerned about where they are placed. We reserve the right to select as new owners only those people who we believe will make their cat or kitten just as beloved and spoiled by their new family as they were in ours.

CaliMaine Coons are bred only to other registered Maine Coon cats. We believe that a safe, clean environment, coupled with lots of play time, capitalizes on good genetics to bring out the best qualities of our cats.

Breeding is planned after careful attention to pedigrees. Below, although good looks are a factor when selecting which cats to breed, we at CalIMaine do our best to help ensure good health and sweet temperaments.
