At CaliMaine, we breed and show these wonderful cats to help promote the popularity of the Maine Coon breed, ensure that the heritage of this wonderful breed of cat is not lost, and bring joy to the many families who choose to have Maine Coons as members of their families. Showing our cats provides us with an objective assessment of the success of our breeding program in producing Maine Coons that fit the breed standard.

We at CaliMaine believe that is a privilege to share our lives with so many wonderful animals, and we anxiously await each new litter of kittens. We are often asked, "Isn't it hard to part with the little ones whom we helped bring into the world and cared for with such commitment?" Absolutely, every time. It never gets easier. Yet, seeing the joy on the faces of people who so anxiously await the day they can take one of our CaliMaine Coons home with them is more fulfilling than I can describe.
